Love at the Seaside is an ongoing series of illustrations using watercolour and pen. Based on two characters and their dogs the series explores the themes of love in a whimsical world by the seaside. The paintings take a strong influence from Aberystwyth, using elements such as the lamposts and houses that can actualy be reconised with a visit to this seadside town. Other influences include the cornish and Devon coast.
You will often find people drawing their own fantasies of where they imagine these illustrations to be as the scenes echo that of many traditional seaside towns where many couples fall in love or grow up. Laura often has people tell her their own stories that reignite in them when they see these illustrations.
These make fantstic greetings cards and prints for loved ones who have a special attachment to the seaside; perfect for an unusual gift that is also signed by Laura.

Personal illustrations can be designed. Please contact Laura with your place of choice and the special elements you want in it and she can design it. Once you have confirmed you are happy with the design Laura can continue and create the final image. If you want the picture framing this can be done at an additional cost. The frames we use are beautiful white wooden frames that have the 'St Ives' look, but if you would rather other designs this can be discussed. The process normally takes about a week to 2 weeks but if it is for an urgent gift it can be done to your deadline.
